Environmental Responsibility

For instance, technology companies like Apple and Google have invested heavily in renewable energy and sustainable supply chains.

Social Responsibility

Businesses support communities through education, healthcare, and economic development programs. They may also advocate for social justice and human rights. For example, initiatives to ensure fair labor practices, provide employee training, and promote diversity and inclusion are common.

Economic Responsibility

Economic responsibility involves conducting business ethically and transparently, ensuring fair pricing, and contributing to the economic stability of the communities where companies operate. By creating local jobs and fostering innovation, businesses contribute to sustainable economic growth.

Tirath Ram Shah Hospital engages in the implementation of several Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by Triveni Foundation & Triveni Turbine Limited, aimed at improving community health, particularly focusing on preventive care and support for underserved populations. Notable projects include:

New-Born Screening Program

Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. through 'Triveni Foundation' has identified a project as a part of its CSR initiative, which provides screening of Newborn babies at Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital (TRSCH), New Delhi. Under the program, it is proposed to carry out a core screening for around 600 new-born babies especially who belong to the lower socio-economic strata. The core screening include Congenital Hypothyroidism (CH), Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), Glucose 6- Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD) and Otoacoustic Emission (OAE) for hearing loss.

Program Objectives:

The purpose of newborn screening is to detect potentially fatal or disabling conditions in newborns as early as possible, often before the infant displays any signs or symptoms of a disease or condition. Such early detection allows treatment to begin immediately, which reduces or even eliminates the effects of the condition. Many of the conditions detectable in newborn screening, if left untreated, have serious symptoms and effects, such as lifelong nervous system damage; intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; and even death.

Methodology

The hospital would carry out a core screening which will include Congenital Hypothyroidism (CH), Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), Glucose 6- Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD) and Otoacoustic Emission (OAE) for hearing loss. There are approximately 700-800 deliveries per year in the hospital. The hospital cover around 600 newborn babies who are screened under this project."

Screening of Cancer, Osteoporosis and Anemia in Females

Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. through 'Triveni Foundation' has identified identified a project as a part of its CSR policy/plan, which deals with preventing these diseases and promoting healthcare in women, especially of the lower socio-economic strata in Delhi

The Company has tied up with a reputed hospital in North Delhi, Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital (TRSCH), New Delhi, for implementation of this project.

Under this project, the hospital will provide free investigations and medical advice/consultation at TRSCH to the 600 women from lower income group of Delhi for cancer screening

Program Objectives

Creating Awareness among women in North Delhi about health issues, their symptoms and prevention related to cancer of various types.

Encouraging them to attend and avail free medical facilities at TRSCH.

Thorough investigation including medical examination for detection of the above mentioned cancers in women.

Professional medical advice for further course of action and medicines based on the diagnosis.

Preventive Health Check-up Program for Young Girls Triveni Turbine Ltd. has identified a project as a part of its CSR initiative, which deals with preventive health check-up for the young girls, especially college and senior school going girls. The Company has tied up with a reputed hospital in North Delhi, Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital (TRSCH), for implementation of this project. Under this project, the hospital will provide screening, investigations and medical advice/consultation and counseling to 800 young girls.

Triveni Turbine Ltd. has identified a project as a part of its CSR initiative, which deals with Screening, Assessment & Therapy of Developmental & Behavioral Problems in Children aged 6 years to 15 years.
The Company has tied up with a reputed hospital in North Delhi, Tirath Ram Shah Charitable Hospital (TRSCH), for implementation of this project.
Under this project, the hospital will provide Screening, Assessment & Therapy of Developmental & Behavioral Problems in 600 Children aged 6 years to 15 years

Program Objectives

Developmental, Behavior and Psychosocial assessment to provide an understanding of the presenting problems and their origins
Assessment of developmental or learning disorders in children
Standardized, comprehensive psychological and educational achievement tests which evaluate intellectual and learning ability
Diagnostic assessment involving structured interview and rating scales and projective tests in cases where this is relevant to the patient’s presentation.
