The entire OT complex is a restricted area, monitored for cleanliness, hygiene, and sterilization.

Beyond diagnostic equipment, Tirath Ram Shah Hospital provides a range of in-patient facilities and support services, including:

• Zoned Layout: The OT complex is divided into sterile, clean, and protective zones to regulate personnel and material movement.
• Strict Aseptic Protocols: All personnel undergo gowning, scrubbing, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) before entering the sterile zone.
• Air Handling Units (AHUs) with HEPA Filters: Maintain air purity with controlled temperature, humidity, and particulate count.
• Scheduled Fumigation and Deep Cleaning: Conducted routinely using FDA-approved disinfectants to ensure complete sterility.
• CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department): All surgical instruments are autoclaved, packed, and sealed according to protocol before use in any procedure.

OT Management and Workflow Efficiency

The Operation Theatres are managed by a skilled OT In-charge and a team of OT Nurses and Technicians who coordinate with the surgical departments to ensure timely and efficient surgical care. An OT Schedule Coordinator manages the daily surgical roster to minimize delays and optimize OT utilization.
