Empowering Children with Special Needs: Special Care Camp by Tirath Ram Shah Hospital

The journey of supporting children with special needs requires patience, compassion, and dedicated expertise. Children diagnosed with conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Learning Disabilities often face unique challenges that extend beyond academics. They may struggle with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and daily living skills, which in turn affects their confidence and independence. Recognizing this need, the Child and Adult Care Development Centre at Tirath Ram Shah Hospital, in collaboration with the Triveni Foundation, organized a Special Needs Care Camp under the supervision of Dr. Parul Arora, Senior Consultant, Special Educator, and Career Counsellor.

This initiative was designed with a mission to improve the quality of life for children with special needs by focusing not only on therapies and training but also on holistic development and empowerment. The camp served as both an intervention and awareness platform, fostering hope for parents, caregivers, and the wider community.

  • Early Intervention Advocacy – Stressing the importance of early diagnosis and intervention to maximize developmental outcomes.
